Just now in spring time we have many customers who bring their batteries in to us for testing. Customers can be very crafty so we have to careful! One trick is to have battery tested when on its last legs of warranty. A guy with a transport business used to do this regularly. He would bring in say six 644 truck batteries and have them exchanged for new ones.

Ironically, there was no check to see the age of the batteries or whether indeed they were tested as faulty. I suspect that our battery guy was getting back handers from this customer and so he was dismissed.
