Fossil Fuel Rethink
Fossil Fuel: Rethink
Because all types of government decisions have an impact on batteries, I am writing this post on my battery blog. Hence, they are things that start regular fossil fuel cars and also power the dreaded electric cars.
So a group of eminent MPs have now got together to try and stop this hideous idea with a Fossil Fuel Rethink and a reason for banning the sale of new petrol and diesel cars after a 2030 deadline.
This would be devastating
for the millions of workers involved in the British motor industry, who would go out of business and lose their jobs. There must be hundreds of ways to reduce the Co2 emissions without wiping out a complete industry.
I thought that the Conservatives were the “party of business”. Instead, they are just cowering before the activists. Hence, they have every intention of damaging the British economy by blaming the whole problem on fossil fuel-driven cars.
What about India, China, and many South American countries?
It makes my blood boil when I see some of the YouTube channel’s travel vlogs about life in other countries. All these channels are up-to-date and show life in these countries.
The cities are choked up with fossil-fuel vehicles, including the black smoke-emitting “tuk-tuks” and “auto rickshaws”. India is starting to use battery-driven vehicles but needs thousands of power stations to be able to charge up the batteries that operate them.
South American countries are the same. It would take thousands of years to convert these places into zero-carbon emission zones. Countries such as Thailand sold just under 2 million 2-wheel motor cycles in 2017. Which by now will be sending out millions of tonnes of carbon into the atmosphere.
I can’t get it into my head that China.Fossil Fuel: Rethink
has more than 300 million two-wheeled vehicles on its roads. China will also produce over 21 million passenger cars in 2020 alone (according to Statista.com). The UK is not even on the map!
The data provided by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) indicates that the automotive industry in the United Kingdom is a significant contributor to our economy and directly employs hundreds of thousands of people. So why the abrupt change of direction? Is it to satisfy the opinions of a few naysayers?
I sincerely
I hope that our representatives will see through this charade and maintain their dedication to finding solutions that are less polluting, more sustainable, and won’t throw our industry into a tailspin. Because if they don’t, not only the environment but also millions of jobs in the British automotive industry will be jeopardised in the process. Including the one that I run myself, which is an online store selling batteries.
Take some time to read the article titled “The UK’s U-Turn on Electric Cars” that was published in the most recent issue of “Garage Wire.” You can read more in-depth justifications for this unfortunate government decision in this article.
Why should the UK suffer? Fossil Fuel: Rethink
So I could go on and on. The attached article hails the start of a revolt among sensible MPs. So to stop this stupid idea about banning new fossil-fuel cars by 2030, Why should our leader start bragging about Britain leading the world in emissions control?
I never saw this in any of the Conservative manifestos! However, nothing that comes out of Parliament surprises me anymore. Especially after having to suffer three years of Brexit and now two years of the COVID-19 crisis,
I sincerely hope that this group of MPs can come up with a Fossil Fuel Rethink, divert this stupid promise, and help stop millions of people from worrying about what happens when their cars are taken away, along with millions of jobs in the Auto industry. Including my own niche as a battery seller online.
climate activists rethink fossilfuel subsidy, activists rethink fossilfuel subsidy cuts, climate policies as ministers prepare, watering down of climate policies.
