hort history about Jensen cars
Jensen Car Batteries
Jensen Motors was a British company based in West Bromwich, England, that made sports cars and trucks. Richard and Alan Jensen, brothers who had previously worked as body engineers for the Austin Motor Company, founded the company in 1934. Jensen Motors initially focused on building custom bodies for Austin chassis but later began producing its own chassis and complete vehicles.
During the 1950s and 1960s,
Jensen was known for producing a range of stylish and high-performance vehicles, including the Jensen 541, Jensen Interceptor, and Jensen FF. The company also built a number of commercial vehicles, including the Jensen S-V8 truck and the Jensen GT.
In the 1970s, Jensen faced financial difficulties and eventually went into receivership in 1976. After purchasing the company’s assets, a group of investors tried to resurrect the Jensen brand in the 1980s with the introduction of the Jensen Healey sports car and the Jensen S-V8 luxury sedan. However, these efforts were not successful, and Jensen Motors ultimately ceased operations in the early 1990s.
