Leisure Batteries-Solar Panels
Leisure Batteries-Solar Panels
We have all noticed the massive growth of motorhomes on our roads. As a result, sales of recreational equipment have significantly increased. Thus, including Exide leisure batteries Therefore, these Bailey Autograph 79-6 motorhomes are equipped with the latest leisure battery system. This motorhome is equipped with the new Peugeot fully compliant Euro 6 Boxer Cab. Hence the engine is the new Peugeot 2.0 Blue HDI (High-Pressure Direct Injection) 160 BHP engine with a six-speed manual gearbox.
The Boxer battery should be 096. Leisure Batteries-Solar Panels
This battery is located in the engine compartment. Some Autograph motorhomes will be equipped with 100-watt solar panels. Naturally, the van will also be fitted out with the popular 110Ah leisure battery. So there is also an extra battery compartment to accommodate two extra leisure batteries.
I have noticed, while driving in France, the number of motorhomes that now use satellite TV and also the increase in the use of solar panels. As a result, I am just going to add a paragraph about this subject. Solar panels are a great idea to be used when the van owner decides to go to places where there are no electrical charging points.
In my opinion, the best practise is to buy two or more spare leisure batteries.
These batteries are then charged by the solar panels. Hence, in good weather conditions, the charged batteries are then used in the evening when in an off-grid situation. Many motorhome users buy the popular 110Ah leisure batteries for this purpose. Of course, this battery is a cross between a car battery and a leisure battery and generally does fine. So, a better choice would be an AGM or a semi-traction battery. A Trojan or Banner battery would be the best choice.

These batteries are more expensive than the traditional 110Ah battery. These batteries are semi-traction with much thicker plates. As expected, it will last much longer. Deep-cycle batteries are completely sealed. Therefore, they have much deeper cycles than the standard leisure batteries. A good choice would be the excellent battery. Another choice would be the US deep-cycle battery for leisure and solar panel storage use.
