The AGM battery can withstand many more cycles of discharge and charge. The type of battery that is used in the video will probably only discharge about 50% without causing any internal damage to the cells.
The same battery in an AGM type of battery will have a much deeper discharge rate before it needs recharging. This makes it a better option for solar storage.
I do, however, think that people should experiment and also use the things that they may have been using for other things. Therefore, golfers could use their old golf batteries. Of course, the batteries are the same and would be suitable for solar storage.
